Automated Drawing Generation

When TransWorld Marketing engineers needed to create drawings for parts of an assembly in Solid Works, they had to generate each drawing manually, one by one. The client contacted AMC Bridge to investigate ways to improve this time-consuming method. Our developers created “TWM Detailing”, a plug-in that automates the drawing generation process from the assembly and part environments of SolidWorks. DXF Asp.Net Parsing Application

As a rapid prototyping company, Rapid Sheet Metal (RSM) needed to speed up their prototype-pricing process. A quick identification of key features of drawings provided by prospective clients would cut costs and time associated with assessment of clients’ needs. AMC Bridge team developed a software application that is easily accessible to RSM clients via company website and that possessed all the above-mentioned functionality. Integration of a Stand Alone Application with CAD Systems

Project 1

Our client Forming Technologies Inc (FTI) created a piece of software that develops optimal blank shapes and accounts for material stretch, deformation and bending of any 3D model. The market for FTI’s software, however, was limited because the solution was not integrated with SolidWorks. To reach the Dessault Systems’ million people customer base, FTI asked AMCBridge to develop BLANKWORKS, a SolidWorks integrated version of FTI’s software. Project 2

SysCAM GmbH is a service provider that offers computer-aided solutions for cutting and design to their manufacturing customers. One of SysCAMs major software tools, FeatureCAM selects tools, calculates feeds and speeds (including stepovers and depth of cut), determines roughing and finishing operations, and generates tool paths and NC Code. In order to expand the customer base for this solution, SysCAM asked AMC Bridge to integrate FeatureCAM with SolidWorks. To read more, click pdf-version or html-version.

SolidWorks Plug-in Development

Our client Vuuch noticed that design discussions were disconnected from their respective products while organizational charts told nothing about how people are connected during the design process. As a result, they developed Vuuch DesignDiscussions, a software solution that improves time-to-market by connecting design teams, design discussions and design deliverables in a way that is natural to how designers already work today. General Software Development

One of the CAM software tools that SysCAM had created helps design engravings on rings. Unfortunately, due to lack of developer time, their version of the software had a number of bugs and incoherent code. SysCAM asked AMCBridge to fix program bugs and add more features to the software.
